People of you who live in cold climates know it’s a discomfort to take off your gloves every single time you want to make a phone.  Ski glove manufacturer Swany seems to have solved that problem with its new g.cell gloves, which hit the FCC yesterday.  At first glance the g.cell gloves appear like any other pair of ski gloves.  But if you take a closer appear at the back of the glove, as well as its fingers, you will see call and hang-up buttons, and a tiny earpiece and mic.  The g.cell’s cuff also hides a modest vibrator, as nicely as a Bluetooth module and battery.  Basically charge up the g.cell gloves, pair to a Bluetooth phone, and you’re prepared to talk to your hand.

The speaker in the g.cell is positioned in the glove’s thumb, while the mic is located slightly below.  To speak on the g.cell you hold the right glove up to your ear and speak like standard.  The diagram beneath shows the approach of speaking on the g.cell, and yes…it does search a bit absurd.  But, I can certainly see the g.cell coming in helpful when on the slopes, or when I’m just as well lazy to take off my gloves.

No word on how considerably the g.cell gloves will price, but earlier versions of the glove expense $ 500.
