End Of Life Leak Shows Verizon Cleaning House: Droid 3, Revolution

When we first began seeing signs of Motorola’s Droid four display up more than the past handful of months, the timing seemed very odd, taking into consideration that the Droid 3 had only landed on Verizon back in July. While the Droid 4′s launch is apparently stalled for the moment, the most up-to-date rumors recommend it will arrive in about a month. If a new leak that surfaced this weekend is any indication, the Droid three could already be on its way out by then, with a Verizon document displaying the smartphone taking on end-of-existence status this month.

The Droid 3 isn’t the only Verizon Android to get the touch-of-death on this list, nor the only one to see new shipments dry-up in just a matter of months following the handset’s debut. The LG Revolution joins Motorola’s handset in this notorious club up, but at least it managed to eke out a slightly-longer lifespan, thanks to launching a little bit earlier, back in May possibly. Like the Droid three, which we assume to see quickly replaced by the Droid four, the Revolution has its own successor previously lined-up. We’ve spotted that model, the LG Spectrum, in pics a couple weeks ago, displaying off a slim develop and LTE support. We haven’t heard any specifics of its release, but sometime in Q1 would seem fairly specific.
