Can Your Phone Help You Sing Your Way To Pop Stardom?
Unless you have actively been trying to avoid ITV on Saturday and Sunday evenings, you’ll be well aware that The X Factor is heading into the “business end” of the final 12 this weekend.
Yes, after enduring weeks of terrible auditions, the trials and tribulations of Boot Camp and the business-class flights to judge’s homes in Miami, LA, Barcelona and Greece, we’re now down to the live shows.
But as the best twelve from this year’s crop prepare to do battle in the live shows, we’ve been wondering if any of them could use their mobiles to help give them the edge over the competition.
Here are five apps which we think could help:

Voice Coach (£2.49)
If you have got to the final twelve and your name isn’t Jedward or Wagner, you’re probably a relatively good singer, but if you want a final tune-up before the big show, then this app can help.
Your new coach will help you with your warm up, vocal exercises, warm down, track your practice time and much more.

Singer’s Friend – Vocal Warm ups and Exercises on the Go (£2.49)
Similar to VoiceCoach, Singer’s Friend – Vocal Warmups and Exercises on the Go is an app that allows you to practice scales on your iPhone. All the common scales are included and the vocal ranges are adjustable to ensure that it works for everyone.

Voice Tutor (£2.99)
Are you slightly out of tune? Are you struggling to hit that high note? Then Voice Tutor could help. This app will diagnose any challenges you are having and assist you by providing you the appropriate lesson.

Glee Karaoke (£0.69)
If the contestants are keeping up with the latest series of Glee during their time in the X Factor house, then they might fancy a spot of Glee Karaoke.
With new songs added every week, this app is full of fresh music and you’ll be scored on how well you sing. The app also includes sound enhancers to make you sound even better, not that we’d ever accuse the music industry of using those!

The X Factor UK (Free)
When the contestants are stuck inside the house or locked inside the practice studio, it can be tough to get an idea of what is going on in the world of X Factor. After all, keeping your popularity high is important if you want to attract those votes.
So during those well-earned breaks, the contestants should probably spend some time browsing the official X Factor app for all of the latest news on the show. Best of all, it’s free.
