Best WinterBoard Themes for Jailbroken iPhones
Here’s something for you – out top 5 picks for the best WinterBoard themes for jailbroken iPhones.
WinterBoard Cydia themes are a great package for jailbroken iPhones running Cydia. You can get loads of themes – for free or for some bucks – from the Cydia Theme store, and you can make your iPhone change its colors and icons and the whole hue. If you’re bored of the default look of your iOS, you can use WinterBoard themes to spice it up all – to your taste. There are infinite options and combinations possible – thanks to the multiple-theme feature on WinterBoard.
You’ll need, a jailbroken iPhone running Cydia with WinterBoard installed. Here’s our pick for the most popular WinterBoard themes for your iPhone:
We’ll start from the simple, elegant and minimal:
1. Glasklart
I was impressed at the first glance of this theme. It comes on the ModMyi repo on Cydia, and has very clear and simple set of icons for the theme. As the name already suggests, it’s clear glass kind of a theme – and users of Win 7 would already be somewhat familiar with it. Hold on – this is not a Windows-like theme. It’s totally different – but very elegant at the same time. The dock actually becomes another panel for icons – and the theme is one that would capture your attention. It’s cool.
Comes with icons, badges, backgrounds, customizations etc. Full suite.
2. Matte Nano
Another simple theme – but unlike Glaskart’s mono-hue theme, you’ll find Matte Nano somewhat colorful. For this, I’d be most tempted to draw examples from the GNOME icon desk, but there is enough of iOS originality here. The Matte Nano too, is a very complete suite of themes, icons, badges and customizations. The look of the dialer changes with this theme but is very minimal and great to look at.
3. Sauve
Once again, I don’t exactly know how to describe Sauve – at first glance, it might look a lot similar to Matte Nano, but a closer look would reveal umpteen differences. I liked the icons on this theme because they were smooth. The theme as such is very pleasing to look at – and is a small theme composed of far less icons and modifications. If you are someone who prefers a quickly responding theme which does not make huge changes, and is very easy to use, this would be it.
4. Tenius
Now, Tenius is a theme you might like – or not. It depends. If you are a fan of the Mac OS X interface, and would like your iPhone to get that look instead of the iOS look it has, you should try Tenius out. So, if someone asks me how to get Mac OS X theme on the iPhone, I just have to point them to Tenius. But, there’s something that is a bit misplaced – the icon ratios – which somewhat clutter the SpringBoard by a wee bit. Otherwise, it’s a great theme you could use.
5. HTC Hero Theme

Lots of people have fallen in love with the HTC theme – by default. It was one of those revolutionizing themes to look at. So, if you have any incomplete wishes regarding your iPhone getting a look like the one found on the HTC smartphones, here’s your chance to satisfy that too.
