60Beat GamePad Turns Your iPhone/iPad Into a True Gaming Machine
What turns your iOS device into a gaming machine? All of us sometimes love to play games whether it is for fun or just to relax after work and owning gaming consoles like XBox or PS3 is a privilege. And it’s actually amazing when you can turn iPhone into gaming console. You can now actually play games that are considered to be “in” nowadays on your iPhone, iPod as well as iPad iOS.
Gaming consoles have been in demand recently and the proof of it is the sale of 1.7 million of Microsoft’s XBox last November. Obviously, Apple won’t be left behind. So what we think is that the Cupertino could be planning to do something in this direction in 2012 when it brings out its latest iPads. It might be planning to turn iPad into gaming console.
60Beat is a company that has come up with a GamePad, an iOS accessory which plugs into the headphone jack of your device. However, it can be played with compatible games only and currently there are only two such games – Aftermath and Bugdom 2. It present cost is $ 50 but you may be able to get many more compatible games by February as stated by the company itself.
The thing that comes to one’s mind is whether the sound of the game would be audible after plugging in the GamePad. Well, the answer is that it has an audio splitter that requires either headphones or external speakers.
Looks-wise, the GamePad is no match to the elegance of the iOS devices. However, you can be contented with the idea of playing games on your slim iPad that you can carry around neatly, unlike an XBox.
